The first FlumeGates® assembled in China have rolled off the production line at Rubicon’s joint venture assembly facility in the city of Lanzhou in Gansu province. The facility enables Rubicon to better support the modernisation plans of our existing and future customers in Gansu.

The facility enables the JV to offer customers more flexible solutions with the ability to supply gates with shorter lead-times. It has been purpose-built with health and safety at the forefront, with many innovations including overhead cranes which streamline workflow and minimise manual handling.

The Gansu operation, called GTR Water is a joint venture between Rubicon Water, Tsinghua University’s School of Civil Engineering and Gansu Water Investment Co., Ltd., an organization owned by China’s Gansu provincial government.

Construction of a second Chinese assembly facility is currently underway in Ningxia province.
