Columbia Irrigation District transformed operations, saving water, labor, and energy by upgrading infrastructure with Rubicon technology.
Columbia Irrigation District (CID) was first formed in 1917 and is one of the oldest water rights recipients from the Yakima River.
Situated in Kennewick, WA the District has seen major urban growth in the latter part of its’ 100+ years. The district delivers water to around 8,000 land parcels across approximately 12,000 acres. The addition of Rubicon Water’s automated control gates and NeuroFlo Cloud software to CID is an example of how smaller urban irrigation districts can utilise technology for operational advantages to help maintain the efficient management of water. In particular, the Rubicon gate modifications to CID means additional efficiency that helps to maintain water deliveries to customers.
