The Dostyk Canal K32 pilot project, located in Southern Kazakhstan, was successfully completed back in September 2020, this was the first project that was completed by Rubicon that was done entirely remotely due to the COVID travel restrictions.
The entire project implementation – from training, installation, commissioning to the operation was performed remotely by directing local partners to install the gates with no prior knowledge.
This is also the first project to use our cloud-based AWS software and adopt our new SiteConnect offering. The pilot project included the installation of FlumeGates, SlipMeters and Confluent software to enable autonomous control and accurate flow measurement along the top section of the K-32 lateral canal.
