Rubicon Water has signed a multi-year agreement to provide software maintenance and support services to Goulburn-Murray Water (G-MW), Australia’s largest irrigation district.
G-MW is constantly improving its service to customers and the agreement will see Rubicon contribute to this improvement by providing G-MW with the highest level of support for its installed base of Rubicon hardware and software products.
G-MW’s vast surface water supply network, which consists of over 3,000 miles of canals supplying 14,000 customers, is managed by Rubicon’s Demand-Integrated Network Control solution. The solution uses Confluent™ software and networked FlumeGates™ to deliver water to farmers almost on-demand.
The Confluent suite of software is also used to manage many other operational aspects such as water ordering and planning, water demand management, meter reading and customer communication (called WaterLINE by G-MW).
Under the agreement, Rubicon will provide G-MW with expert technical support via its 24/7 helpdesk, fast response times, access to a dedicated client services manager and ongoing advisory services.
The agreement will also see G-MW receive regular updates to the software in order to take advantage of Rubicon’s ongoing R&D program for Confluent and developments for its growing international customer base.
Rubicon Water CEO Bruce Rodgerson said “This agreement will ensure that the G-MW network remains a world benchmark for gravity-fed irrigation supply systems and help ensure a sustainable future for irrigated agriculture across the Goulburn-Murray Irrigation District.”
