Rubicon Water (ASX:RWL) CEO, Bruce Rodgerson, engaged in a fruitful meeting with Dr. Hani Sewilam, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation in Egypt, during his recent two-week trip to Europe and North Africa.

During the meeting, Minister Sewilam reaffirmed the Egyptian government’s commitment to rehabilitating and maintaining the country’s fifty thousand water facilities, a vital step towards effective water management. Ensuring the optimal use of water resources is a leading priority for Egypt, given the fundamental link between water and food security.

Collaborating with the Ministry, Bruce explored how Rubicon Water’s advanced technology could further support Egypt’s water management initiatives. Solutions were discussed to enhance agricultural productivity, address specific water challenges, and promote sustainable practices.

Bruce’s visit to Egypt reflects the company’s dedication to supporting the country’s water sustainability efforts. As Egypt continues to prioritise water management, Rubicon Water is well-geared to assist the country in their pursuit of a resilient and prosperous future for irrigated agriculture.

Witnessing the iconic Nile Delta irrigation system and the scale of irrigation developments happening in the ‘New Delta’ at Al Daba was impressive. Egypt’s rich agricultural heritage and the ambitious commitment to modernisation is inspiring.“
